REGULATIONS
ICTIOLOGICAL COLLECTION OF THE COLOMBIAN AMAZON - CIACOL
The Collection consultation hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The general collection is organized according to the size of the containers and not by phylogenetic order: to search for the material there is a map with the exact location of the lots, which must always be in the Collection.
All material consulted or used for scientific articles or theses, must be cited using the acronym CIACOL. At the end of the study, a copy of the article, document, text or thesis must be donated to the Collection and/or documentation center of the SINCHI institute.
Any document generated from consultations to the Collection, should give institutional credits to the "SINCHI Amazonian Scientific Research Institute and the Ichthyological Collection of the Colombian Amazon CIACOL".
The loan of ichthyological material is made only to collections legally constituted and recognized (never to individuals), by means of a request addressed to the CIACOL curator-director. All returns of borrowed material must be effective a maximum of 6 months after receiving said loan.
Smoking or eating in the physical space of the Collection is prohibited.
