Colombian Amazon Herbarium, is the first collection included in the National Registry of Biological Collections, which contributes to the national inventory of biodiversity. It has close to 100,000 botanical specimens and approximately 8,200 species which are the product of collections made by the Institute in strategic areas of the Colombian Amazon, the exchange of specimens and donations by other entities that carry out research in the Amazon region.

The herbarium has developed an information system available online on which it has arranged the botanical, geographical and collection information, as well as a graphic component with photographs of the specimens. Consult the botanical specimens generated from collections and the different research results product of an understanding of the amazonian flora.
