LIVE PLANTS

Understanding the Colombian Amazon Flora is the basis for its conservation and sustainable use. The megadiversity that lies in the different Amazon ecosystems is of immense potential and a heritage of the nation.

With this section of photographs of live plants, the aim is to generate a sense of belonging to this resource and to sensitize visitors of the Virtual Herbarium to the beauty of the colors and shapes of the plants in the region.

The photographs have been taken by different SINCHI Institute researchers in their field trips throughout the Amazon region.
