The Ichthyological Collection of the Colombian Amazon -CIACOL- has as primary objective to preserve and maintain documentation on the fish biodiversity of the Amazon region through specialized curatorial techniques. The Collection provides information on the distribution, systematics, ecology and biogeography of fish, contributing to the dissemination, disclosure and research of the country's aquatic resources.
